Our House

We are generally in our new place. We disposed of many of our possessions to get into this smaller place. We gave away a lot, stored a little, and moved the rest. There are 44 vertical steps and lots of horizontal steps from the parking lot to the living room. Good for conditioning and I lost about 10 pounds moving in. Ours is the top balcony on the left. We like the corner because we also have side windows.

We have a view of Lake Washington and Mercer Island.

We now live at the bottom of the same hill that we watched people slide down in the snow last winter.
This place is a lot more comfortable than the other house. This is just another stop on the way to the country, where there are no traffic jams.

Congratulations! You have been nominated to receive an Ahead of the Class - Excellence in Education Award. The Ahead of the Class Award is presented to individual teachers or teams of teachers from Renton area schools who have demonstrated high standards of professionalism and innovation in teaching. Award recipients are chosen from a pool of teachers nominated by students, parents, and other educators. Your nomination demonstrates your success in the classroom and commitment to teaching.

Finalists will be named by March 16. Interviews of finalists will be the week of March 23rd – 27th. Final candidates will be asked to bring a 2-5 minute amateur videotape of their classroom teaching to the interview. Award recipients will be announced by April 6th. As a nominee, you are invited to attend the Renton Ahead of the Class Awards Ceremony on May 5th at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center and Renton High School Commons at 7:00 pm. We will recognize all nominees at this gala event, which is free to the public. Please plan to attend, bring guests, and join in the celebration.
